Native Limited Edition Fall Getaway Deodorant - Sandalwood & Coastal Breeze - 2.65oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who puts in 12-hour work shifts and spends hours training for marathons (which includes running, lifting, and yoga), my deodorant test is brutal. I needed something aluminum-free, but it had to stand up to the sweat. I tried the Sandalwood & Coastal Breeze scent. It’s a genuinely great, clean and sophisticated scent. The "Coastal Breeze" cuts the heaviness of the sandalwood, making it fresh and the perfect beachy scent This deodorant is a true performer, for a natural product. It handles a normal 8-hour day without issue. It glides on smoothly, it doesn't leave those flaky white balls behind, and leaves my skin feeling moisturized. However, if I'm doing a 12-hour shift and then heading straight into a long run or heavy lifting session, it require reapplication. You can feel it hit its ceiling after about 10 hours of active wear. It manages the sweat and odor during a challenging yoga class or lifting session, but it won't magically absorb the sheer volume of sweat from a 15-mile training run. That's the trade-off for going aluminum-free, and Native handles that trade-off better than any other natural brand I've tried. If you understand that you need to carry it with you for extreme days, it’s a total winner. It eliminates the irritation I got from antiperspirants, and the scent is top-tier.

I honestly can’t get enough of how good it smells, and it lasts all day without being overpowering. I also love that it’s aluminum and paraben free, so it feels clean and safe to use. Between how effective it is and how incredible it smells, this one is definitely my new favorite!

The only downside is that if you sweat a lot throughout the day I feel like it doesn’t do that great of a job in covering body odor. Instead the scent of the deodorant blends with the scent of sweat after a few hours and made me feel like I smelled more.

It goes on smoothly, doesn’t leave any residue, and actually keeps me fresh all day long—even through workouts and busy days. The scent is light and fresh, reminds me of cleanliness after a shower, but it’s not too strong and doesn’t irritate. It goes on easily, melts on the skin, isn’t sticky, and doesn’t stain clothes. Right after applying you feel fresh, and the effect lasts the whole day. Even if you move a lot, there’s no unpleasant smell. The skin doesn’t get irritated, no dryness or itching. Overall, it’s a very good deodorant: nice scent, long-lasting, and easy to use. I’m happy with it and will definitely buy again.

This product would be great for every day/casual wear but I wouldn’t recommend it for situations where you may be sweating a lot as it didn’t last that long for me.

It goes on clear, making it seem like there's nothing on. The scent lasted all day, giving great protection against sweat smells. Not only that, Big Bonus, it has clean and natural ingredients. Really great product to start my pre-teens out with.

Love how this deodorant leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized. It leaves a light glow from the oil. I truly hope that this deodorant works for me on the long term because it smells delicious.
