The Tripp Lite® by Eaton® U236-000-R USB to Ethernet Adapter allows your computer to instantly connect your computer, laptop, tablet, or other USB-compatible device to a wired 10/100-Mbps Ethernet network, even if your device has no NIC (Network Interface Controller) installed. The adapter is a more convenient, less expensive way to go online than opening your device and installing an internal Ethernet card. The adapter's compliance with USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) ensures true 10/100-Mbps network speed without any compromise. Furthermore, the adapter is compact, is USB bus-powered, and requires no external power adapter.

Great to have on hand when I OS load a new laptop without an on-board ethernet port, and the wi-fi adapter is too new to be recognized. Plug this in, load the driver, and go!!

This is a great adapter. Allowed me to connect my Microsoft surface to the internet via an Ethernet cable. Without it, I wouldn't be able to troubleshoot my router as there was no other way to connect to it. 10/10

I simply plugged it into my laptop and it installed automatically. Was using the Ethernet cord almost immediately. Would recommend.

Installation driver doesn't work. It cannot show as ethernet adapter in network settings.

My router, which is not that old, has only 1 ethernet socket for input. All "output" is LAN, and the Tripp-lite took the LAN. YEA!!!!!

We've been utilizing wifi on our tablets for ERP employee clock in/out for 6 months. There have been times where the wifi signal is weak. The effect is slow server update, employee complaints, and delays. I researched several different models then selected this tripplite product. I was a little concerned about startup as some of my research mentioned the use of a CD to load the driver. To my surprised, when the product arrived, there was no CD. The startup mentioned to plug and go. This is what I executed and the product worked flawlessly. Thank you tripplite.

The U236 adapter securely drives the data acquisition and relay transfer from our research components through wireless connections to a central computer platform for analysis. The data is very clean and uncorrupted. Love the integrity and performance of this U236 adapter.
