A: Evidence that neomycin is not present is that the Drug Facts screen shows only bacitracin in contrast, the drug Facts screen for pain relieving first aid cream does show neomycin and two other ingredients, not enough at least to show on drug Facts

The product is just fine, but the “delivery” is flawed. The opening is the size of a toothpaste tube! It should be MUCH smaller, making it easier to dispense a small amount.

There’s no safety seal like other reviews have stated. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to doing a pick up for this but I was in a rush and would have never guessed I’d have this issue. When I picked this up and got it home I thought they had given me damaged and opened ointment only to find out that’s just how it comes… the box isn’t even sealed! I would definitely spend the extra money on one that comes sealed as it should.

I can't believe Target took a product used for medical treatment and decided to remove the seal around the tube that prevents contamination of the ointment. Of course, the ointment could become contaminated during manufacturing, but that applies to anything you buy in the store. There is a reason why beverages, mouthwash, toothpaste, and just about anything you put in your mouth or in an open wound is sealed-- FOR SAFETY! Without a sealed tube or sealed box (box only has a foldable tab to tuck inside the larger box), anyone can go into the store, insert something dangerous (but invisible) into the tube, and cause harm, including death, to others. I am a devoted Target shopper, but I will no longer be buying this product at Target.

Personally, I prefer Neosprorin’s thin nozzle. This tube’s opening is WIDE. You end up grabbing way more product than you need. However, if you are trying to fill up another container this is the ideal situation.

Bought this when my son's toenail fell off, yes. Fell off. Ick. Anyhow, worked like a charm. I know there's a ton of debate about neosporin and bacitracin, but honestly this worked great, and his toe didn't fall off and he now happily has a new nail growing in. Kids definitely keep you in your toes! (Couldn't resist).

Packaging quality has gone down. There is no protective seal over the opening of the tube upon first use, which you’d sort of expect for a medical product like this. The opening is also now super big. I’ve attached a photo showing the old smaller opening and the new larger opening. This means every time you squeeze, an inordinate amount comes out, which is fine I guess if you have a big wound, but not for small cuts, which leads to wastage. Though that may not matter since in the end the price is very reasonable. Would still buy until I find a comparably priced alternative.
