Q: From the pictures, it looks like the lids are not transparent. Is that so? I like to see if my water is boiling, etc.

A: We highly recommend hand washing over dishwasher usage! Dishwasher detergents tend to have harsh ingredients that can aid in the rapid deterioration of the nonstick coating.

A: Our longer-handled cookware, such as the Sauté Pan, Fry Pan, and Sauce Pan all have a notch a few inches up the handle. This notch designates at what point the handle should stay cool enough to grab with bare hands. Extended use could cause that warmth to increase slightly further up the handle, but it would not for nearly all regular meals and recipes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were so excited to buy our caraway cookware and spent so much money buying the whole thing, including knives, and cookie sheets. The knives are great but the pans are horrendous! They didn’t last more than 4 months. I was so careful about following the directions and they are unusable. No longer non stick. Everything gets stuck on it. The only way to clean them is to soak them for days. Just a waste of money.
