Have the most comfortable period of your life®.

HOW TO USE:
STEP 1: REFRESH YOUR DISC
If it’s your first time using your Flex Reusable Disc, give it a quick wash with warm water and a mild soap or cleanser. To completely sanitize your disc in between periods, boil it for 10 minutes on the stove (do not allow your disc to come in contact with the sides or bottom of the pot).

STEP 2: GET READY TO INSERT
Take a breath and relax! Get into a comfortable position—you can try sitting on the toilet, squatting with your legs open, or standing with one leg up.

STEP 3: INSERT THE DISC
Insert the pinched disc (notch side first) down and back towards your tailbone as far back as it will comfortably go. Then, tuck the front rim of the disc up behind your pubic bone.

STEP 4: 12-HOUR WEAR
Experience freedom. Do everything you love to do when you're not on your period—swim, sleep, squat, study, or summit. Heavy flow? No problem. Flex Discs can self-empty when you pee. This means you'll never have to walk around with a full disc all day. After you pee or poo, use a clean finger to simply tuck the disc back into place and you're set for the remainder of your 12-hour wear.

*Please follow the full Instructions for Use within the box prior to use.
**To clean your Flex Reusable Disc, simply empty your disc, rinse with cool water (helps prevent staining), apply a mild soap or cleanser, lather, and rinse again with warm water. At the end of your cycle, sanitize by boiling (see instructions) and store it in its carrying pouch.

Q: Is the disc self emptying?

submitted by Female - 10 months ago
  • A: Great question! When you actively & intentionally bear down on your pelvic floor muscles (like you do when you poo), your disc will slightly shift forward enough to empty out into the toilet. Then, when you're all done, just use a clean finger or do some kegels to pop the disc back into place behind your pubic bone. You should be good to go for the rest of your 12-hour wear. Easy peasy!

Q: what are the different ways the disc can be washed? is there things i should avoid when cleaning it?

submitted by screen name - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there, thank you for the great question! The Reusable Disc should be washed every 12 hours with warm water and a mild oil-and-fragrance-free-soap (we love our Foaming Cleanser!). Do not use vinegar, tea tree oil, scented soap, castile/peppermint soap, oil-based soap, rubbing alcohol, antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, dish soap, hydrogen peroxide, bleach or harsh chemicals as these may damage the silicone and cause irritation. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your physician. Reach out to us with any other questions at hello@flexfits.com or text us at 800-931-0882

Am I on my period???

I usually never write reviews. I’m always skeptical about online products but I really needed a change of perspective on my period. A lot of times I want to skip doing outdoor activities or even go swimming during my period. I hate dealing with the absolute mess of a tampon and especially pads! I hate sitting in it all day, the smell and the mess. It makes that dreadful time of my month, even for dreadful! I started trying the disposable disc first to give it a go and it was okay. I didn’t like the plastic bit and I think it made it a little hard to put it. But I did want to reduce my spending on period products and thought that the silicon reusable one might have a better shot. In which I think it does! I hardly remember that I’m on my period and I didn’t believe that it would sort of empty itself when you pee, but it actually does! How that kinda works is you gotta flex your abdominal muscles. Imagine you gotta take a crap haha. I also think it’s helpful to lean forward to give that tip motion to help the cup tip to let gravity do the rest. It’s not too bad. But make sure to push the cup back up otherwise you might have some leakage. If you’re super worry about leaking, I usually just wear a pad or a liner. Still not using as many and isn’t as uncomfortable as the pad remains pretty clear and you can make it the whole.Couple other things from reviews that didn’t happen in my experience:Leaking at night, sleeping at night has been a dream and no nightmare as it’s so comfortable.Extreme cramping. Personally I haven’t had awful cramping but I have been implementing more female orientated vitamins since I’ve started using the disc. Take your vitamins ladies!!Cleaning up: I am sort of a germ freak. Germs gross me out and especially fluid like bodily functions. But I make it work and the clean up isn’t that bad. Recommend dumping into the toilet and taking a shower during the change. Definitely makes the change easier.I think this is an incredible product. I’m so thankful for it and to help these weeks pass by like any other day. We need more products to help us ladies save money and to help our periods not take over a lot of our daily activities.

Never going back tampons

I was a little intimidated to make the switch to the menstrual disc, and wasn’t sure how it would work with my very active lifestyle (dance and pilates instructor), but I am so happy I made this change. Once you figure out insertion and removal, the disc is so easy. I have never had an issue and can wear for the recommended max of 12 hours. Way more comfortable than tampons and I love that I don’t have to be worried if I packed enough tampons for the day.

I was always a pad girly and when I started to use tampons I hated them they always give me cotton Cush or hurt to pull out on my light days. Then one day my aunt gave me a reusable disc and it changed my life for the better. It makes me feel like I’m not even on my period ( other than cramps of course ) . This is the best product and it saves you money in the long run highly highly recommend

Extremely difficult to remove

I rarely write reviews. I’m writing so that others can make informed decisions whether to purchase or not. Today was the first time I used the flex disc. Insertion was easy but removal was a nightmare. It took almost 2 hours. It is impossible to use finger tip/nail to hook it out. It is slippery and there is absolutely no grip. Even using thumb and pointer was impossible to get it out. I was finally able to get it out after reading how one user was able to use the thumb to push the disc up first. So I decided to give it a try again and pushed up pretty and hard and bearing down at the same time. Only then did I feel the disc move out a little bit. But still, I had to struggle with my thumb and pointer to really get a grip and pulled it out. My vagina is absolutely sore right now. The one star is for no leaking but please make it easier to remove! Either a pull tab or a better grip ???

Leaks, leaks, leaks!

I've used this disc for one full cycle plus my heaviest day on my second cycle with it. On my heavy days, my period was unmanageable and leaked all the way through. I got it in place behind my public bone correctly, but it seemed like it would slide down throughout the day. I leaked when doing yoga in certain positions. I watched all of the videos and read all of thr instructions and just cannot get this to work. I was excited about the hands-free emptying and having sex during my period. This product needs more work to get there. It doesn't quite do that. My menstrual cup provides more confidence in period management than this product.

I am absolutely obsessed. I feel clean and hygienic wearing them because there’s no bloody string hanging out of me. I don’t have to replace or worry about getting it messy when I use the bathroom. I can put it in in the morning, leave it in all day and just clean it before bed, leave it in all night safely. You can have sex with them in. You can’t feel it at all. Reusable so saving money. 100% no brainer cannot hype it enough. Literally just a user and girls girl that is so grateful I’d shout it from the mountaintops so yall can understand and experience how much better of a product this is than tampons.

I’ve had my reusable Flex Disc for some time now, a couple of years. I’ve had the occasional moment where out for a walk or run on heavy days where I’ve felt a tiny bit of leakage, but overall have had no issues. Recently I tried it out for the first time for “fun time” with my boyfriend. I’d read about the perk of “mess free sex” multiple times. I’m not sure if these people that have used it during that time just don’t heavy bleed or if they’re using it on their last couple of days of their cycle. I can confidently say that it looked like both of us had been gravely injured in the nether regions. Definitely did not get to enjoy the “mess free” perk.

Leaks CONSTANTLY very messy to remove

Maverick - 29 days ago, Verified purchaser
It’s more difficult than a cup to insert. You get used to it I guess yes it’s comfortable once in a while you don’t feel it. It self empties when you use the restroom or “bear down” that part is great however this thing leaks constantly. I can’t wear it without also having to wear a regular pad which defeats the entire purpose. Basically every time I use my a muscles it feels like it’s leaking. When I work out it’s leaking. I clean houses so when I’m mopping or cleaning vigorously it’s leaking. I would never wear this without a pad so that alone is a deal breaker. Aside from that taking it out and emptying or cleaning is very messy. And again I’m used to a cup so this process isn’t new to me. It’s far messier than my cup was. I would never ever feel comfortable taking this out in any place other than home. This is a very expensive product to just be a complete disaster and waste of money. Totally disappointed.

With having PCOS, my periods can be horrible! I can't keep tampons in, my body pushes it out within an hour. So i usually resort to pads. They still feel like a diaper. And cramps can be strong! I have tried cups in the past, they are ok, but hard to try to get in. Plus I have still leaked. When I saw the disc's I was willing to try. I love how they stay in place! I can't feel it. I love that if it needs to release blood if I bare down while peeing. I wear a panty liner just in case, but 95% of the time, no bloody leaks. And my cramps are more bareable. Thank you Flex!

I could never go back to tampons after using this product for over a year. Honestly, I forget I’m on my period because of how comfortable this product is. It takes a couple tries to learn how to insert and position the disc properly but once I got that down, I’ve had no complaints. It’s scary to try new things but the transition from pads/tampons to the reusable disc is 100% worth it. I’ve saved myself from a lot of stress and $$$. Truly grateful for this product!!

I don’t agree with the company’s advertising ( the claims that you can’t get TSS) which is based of the lack of studies on the disc since it’s such a new product when in reality the risk is the same as a cup. BUT it’s insanely comfortable I’ve used tampons, cups and pads and this easily beats them all. Cups were hard for me to get the right angle and annoying to remove and re-insert. This was super easy ! I inserted it correctly the first try and I can’t even tell I’m wearing it. The lack of string is a huge plug as it doesn’t get in the way during potty time. I have a pretty heavy flow and I’ve had no leakage. Genuinely will never used another period product. I think they should market more on the comfort ease of use and sustainability features rather than fear mongering about TSS

I love the self emptying mechanism and also how easy it is to put in and take out. You don’t have to boils it or do all this fancy stuff just wash it with light soap before using. I also love how it gives you two disposable disc as well so that you can use it just in case you don’t have the reusable one or you can let a friend try. However the self emptying mechanism is very worrisome. It triggers if you fart or accidentally push Other than that this is amazing a especially when paired with period underwear

I wasn’t sure I was going to love this transition from tampon to disc/cup but I am SOLD! These are a simple solution for someone with light to medium flow, like me. I have not experienced any cramping while using the disc. I usually would cramp the first 2-3 days of my cycle while using a tampon. These self-empty, as advertised. I take mine out and wash it while I shower and that has worked well for me. Great solution for us women! Thank you for this product.
