A: You need to select “classic decaf” to get info about the decaf. If you selected “black silk” it does not say decaf and it is not decaf.

A: Thanks for your question, Sharon. We use ethyl acetate direct process. In the ethyl acetate process, we begin by steaming the beans, which draws the caffeine to the surface; ethyl acetate is then added to the beans to extract the caffeine. After the caffeine is removed, we steam the beans again, and then we’re ready for roasting.

It has notes of caramel and molasses. You can definitely tell it is a little different. I would buy this instead of the regular medium roast but I don’t think it should be more expensive. Most other flavors from other companies are the same price.

It has a nice bright flavor plus the light blends always have additional caffeine. The instructions are super easy to read and the entire canister makes90 different cups. I think it’s well worth it.
