Q: Will it dispense simple syrup, the combination of water and sugar? Are people trying to dispense maple syrup and that’s why it wont come out?

A: I just bought this today and am super disappointed. It needs significant air space for anything to come out. I tried with vanilla syrup for my coffee, nothing came out. Tried water, barely comes out.

It looks really pretty and fits well in my space but even a thin syrup won’t come out through the spout in more than just a tiny drop. I have to take the lid off and pour it every time.

Strictly for bitters as you can only shake a few drops out. I switched the top out to get a fast flow for syrups.

The dispenser is very pretty. But for the price, around $13, almost $14, I don’t recommend it. It doesn’t work. It doesn’t work at all for syrup. Unfortunately, it’s only good for oil, vinegar, vinaigrette, or maybe other liquids—but not syrup. It’s a shame because the bottle looks very nice, but it’s useless for what I bought it for. Also, it’s very small. I don’t recommend it.

If you’re wondering why syrup doesn’t dispense, it is becuase it is a true bitter dispenser for shaking bitters in a mixed drink. The description shouldn’t mention syrup becuase it’s super misleading.

Same as everyone. Very nice but does not dispense. If that’s the point okay, but I wish I knew that. It’s sort of inconvenient. Still keeping cause I love the look of it. Maybe I can replace it with another top? Oh well.
