Q: When you turn the switch on are the lights supposed to stay on? I have to hold the “try me” button attached to the back down for the lights to stay on.

No, the lights on the Threshold Haunted House are not supposed to stay on when you simply turn the switch to the "on" position; the "try me" button activates the lights, and the display is designed to be triggered rather than to run continuously after being turned on. The "try me" button is for demonstrating the lights' functionality, not for continuous operation. I hope this helps - Emma

This is the first time I’ve bought one of the Threshold haunted houses, and I am not disappointed! The lights give off a flicker, which make it unique compared to other light up spooky houses. I bought this while on sale, which made the price right.

I’m obsessed with the haunted houses this year. They’re so fun. My kiddos love looking at and playing with them (though I try not to let them play haha). The large one is a really good size and goes well with the small one. I added the eek! haunted houses and people for extra spooky factor. My only complaint is there is no timer. Other than that, I love them!

As stated in the title this is the second time I purchased this house. The first time I received it, it was missing part of the roof and was smashed in the back. I return the house. I reordered it again only because I have 3 other of the houses and I really enjoy displaying them. So unfortunately the house came again really damaged. I don't blame delivery because this has no protective wrap on it. This is absolutely a target problem. I know I'm not the only one receiving a damaged house and they refuse to address this issue. I guess $40 means nothing nowadays.

Unlike other reviews, mine was delivered in pretty perfect condition. It was packed tightly in its own box and placed with other items in a larger box. I can’t really tell but it looks like maybe it’s missing a bulb or has a busted bulb for the lower left window. I could look past that but what I can’t look past is the hideous CLUMPS of fake moss. Just why? It’s not even something you can remove without damaging the house. It just looks so bad and so cheap. I would maybe pay $20-$25 for the large house so if you can get this on sale then go for it. Since I paid full price I will be returning. Going to hope for a better design next year.

Love these so much! Buy them every year. It is always best in my experience to purchase in store. They do not ship well and usually get damaged. If you absolutely have to purchase online, I'd give a call and ask for extra packaging to protect it.

I love the house and happy the flickering lights are back. But I really hate that moss they glued to the houses. It just looks horrible. Why? Target just leave this houses alone. No need to glue extra stuff on them
