A: Figured it out. It does have batteries. There’s a ball inside and you just shake the toy to light it up.

My 4 yr old loved this. It’s a cute design and it lights up when shaken. My 2 yr old had a hard time squeezing it to make it so you could repop it. Overall, cute fun toy, but a little pricey.
