Q: The old dispenser (item #34-8725-9311-5) from last year is much better than the new one (Palm-Guard). Tabs that stop tape from going back on roll were positioned better. Less plastic. Can you go back?

I gave the tape 2 stars because the tape itself does a halfway decent job of holding packages closed. But do yourself a favor and buy the name brand stuff. The dispenser is a nightmare to use. I probably wasted as much tape as I used.

This is a great dupe for the scotch brand, which is also terrible! Accidentally bought this thinking I liked it… big mistake. It is so thin and breaks so easily. I’m trying to use it all up so I don’t waste it, but omg! Never buying again.

I reviewed this tape a few years ago with 5 stars. Unfortunately, the most recent roll I bought was worse than scotch tape. Product is no longer thick or strong, and the poor quality of tape constantly gets stuck. Will not purchase again, even if it were free.

I’ve bought this in the past and had no problems. I don’t know if it’s changed, but it’s awful now. I can’t get the tape to unstick from the plastic. The pieces I’m able to tear off are incredibly small and bunch up.

We buy a lot of up&up items, but in this case, you are better off buying Scotch. The dispenser is difficult to work, and if the tape gets stuck to the roll, it’s impossible to fix.

The tape is fine - not great. A little flimsy. But the dispenser is awful! It is so hard to pull the tape out, it continues to get stuck to the dispenser and I end up ruining so much tape by touching it or it getting stuck to itself... not worth the savings from buying store brand. Pay the extra $$ to get name brand and don't give yourself a headache!

Worse tape and dispenser. Tape doesn't stick well to cardboard. I had to use multiple strips for good coverage and the dispenser is awful. Better using scissors and removing the roll.
