Joie Chili Spin SI Rotating 2-in-1 Convertible Car Seat

Recently bought this for my baby after comparing many of the 360 car seats and I do like it a lot! Love the different recline options and the magnetic buckle! So easy to use! I will say that it does rattle a bit. I’ve uninstall and reinstall and it sounds like there’s some kind of clicking sound going on somewhere. When baby is in, it’s not as prominent but once baby is out and empty it’s kind of annoying but I’m just super sensitive to noise like that and I notice it a lot more than my husband does. Overall happy with the car seat. It’s such a good 360 car seat with the price tag!!

There’s nothing I dislike, i absolutely LOVE this car seat and recommend! I’m glad I got it on sale plus the 20% off yes ma’mmm! Baby loves it and he’s a picky little one. He’s 10 months! I like that you can face it towards you, I’m short with a pretty tall car so it helps so much especially in the AM when it’s dark out and on your way to work no struggling here.

I LOVE this car seat. Easy to install and the fact that it can rotate makes my life so much easier, especially with twins! The only thing I would say bad is the base is pretty bulky/heavy if this is a seat you plan to move car to car often. That’s not happening in my case so I think it’s perfect! Looks really nice, affordable, great quality. Highly recommend!

I bought this seat after getting into an accident. I choose the Chili Spin 360 si & I couldn’t be happier. The swivel feature makes buckling in so easy, it feels very sturdy and safe, and my little one is super comfortable. The side impact pads do make the seat a little tighter fit but no complaints from my son. I love the evergreen color and it was a little difficult to install but once installed it’s perfect.

It allows me to easily pick him up and take him out of the seat without straining my back from hunching over. The lever for rotating the seat is also very easy to use and operate. I particularly appreciate the magnetic chest latch mechanism. It feels sturdy and provides reassurance that our son is securely fastened, yet it's still very easy to open. Additionally, the seat is lighter than other car seats we've considered, which makes it convenient for transferring between cars if needed.

He gets really excited for it spin around for him too! Install was too easy, we have it in a Ford focus and it fit perfectly.

I bought this about a week ago and installed it yesterday. The install only took about five minutes and my 10 month old loves it. It’s so easy to use, he looks so comfortable in it compared to his infant seat, and it fits great in my Honda pilot. I got this car seat in the color dove and it’s the perfect light tan color.

That said, once it was installed, the rest of the experience has been great. What I love: Comfortable for my child: My little one fits snugly and securely in the seat. He seems very comfortable, even during longer trips. The padding is soft and supportive. Easy to adjust: The seat grows with your child. It’s simple to adjust the harness and headrest, and it accommodates different growth stages without needing extra tools. Great build quality: The materials feel premium, and the construction is sturdy. I feel confident that my child is well-protected. Useful features: The cup holders are super convenient for drinks and snacks, and I like the side label instructions—they make it easier to install and adjust everything properly. And let's not forget one of my favorite parts! The 360 spin!! I never realized how much of a difference this makes until I got this seat. It makes getting my kids in and out of the seat so much easier!! No more trying to buckle in at awkward angles. This feature also makes switching from forward facing to rear facing a breeze! Safety and security: The harness is strong, and the seat clicks securely into place with either the latches or seatbelt path. I appreciate the added locking mechanism when using the seatbelt path to make it even more secure. I also appreciate the high back and deep sides for added protection. Another awesome feature is the easy click chest strap. I love how you can undo the chest strap with one hand... this makes such a difference when your hands are full. Minor note: The seat can feel a bit bulky when switching between cars, but that’s expected with a well-padded convertible seat like this. Also the padding by the thighs is a little tight for thick thighed babies like my 6 month old but he does not seem bothered and I'd rather have the extra support than none! My 2 year olds thighs fit perfectly in this padding and it is optional to remove once they're past 40lbs. Its not a deal breaker for us. Overall, I highly recommend the Joie 2-in-1 car seat. It gives me peace of mind knowing my child is safe and comfortable every time we hit the road.

The swivel itself is very smooth. The chest strap has a magnetic clip that makes buckling effortless. I didn't think it would be a feature I would care about but it has become one of my favorites. It was not the simplest car seat to install but it was easy to secure tightly once attached to the LATCH anchor points. It has steps for installation with visuals on the car seat which we found helpful. The shoulder pads are very large. They make it difficult to tell if the straps are folded over or twisted. However, they are removable so it is not a big deal. We have it in a Tesla Model Y and it fits, but the front seat has to be moved forward. It would not fit well in small cars with tall adults in the front seat. Overall, we are very happy with the car seat and would recommend it to friends and family.

The turning feature is a game changer. When wrangling my toddler into the seat, it is so much easier to put her in facing me and turn her rear facing. The swivel component makes it so easy to get him in and out since he’s over 30 lbs. everything is great except I had some trouble installing it but I think most car seats are a pain. He also likes to climb into his seat but it’s higher than most due to the base.

This carseat not only looks sleek, but it also functions so well. It was easy to install (I opted for the lower anchors). It is pretty heavy though, so it isn't very easy to transfer from car to car. However, it works just fine for me because my car is the 'family car'. The 360 spin is my favorite part! I didn't know how convenient it would be until I started using it. It makes loading and unloading my baby so much easier. It helps a lot in tight parking spots because I can go in flush to the car instead of swinging my baby around to get him in. My baby also loves the spin. It makes for a fun moment when getting in the car. I love that we will be using this car seat for a while since it grows with our baby. I also enjoy the chest magnet clip, it really speeds things up. The only thing about this product that I am not the biggest fan of is that I have the shale color which means its close to black. I live in a very hot climate, so the car seat gets hotter than a brown or grey color would. So consider your color options. The side impact is reassuring, and it looks like it's more comfortable with the extra padding. I've had this car seat for a couple weeks now, and my baby seems to really like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) and a dad to a 1-year-old and 2-year-old, I’ve had a lot of experience installing and using car seats. We tested this one in both our 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander and 2020 Toyota RAV4, and overall, I think the Juli Chili 360 Spin SI is one of the more convenient and well-designed seats I’ve used. The 360° swivel is a real game-changer especially in an SUV. Being able to turn the seat toward the door to buckle my sons in and then rotate them back into position made a huge difference in our daily routine. The rotation is smooth, secure, and intuitive. One of my favorite features is the chest clip. Unlike most clips that require a bit of wrestling, this one connects smoothly and almost "clicks itself" into place a small detail that makes everyday use a lot more pleasant. I also really appreciate the anti-rebound panel at the base, which helps reduce how much the seat moves in the event of a crash. The 5-point harness fits well and keeps both my boys secure across the parts of their body that matter most. I also appreciated the round cup holders they fit standard cups and bottles better than the square designs I’ve seen on other models and are easier for my kids to use. Installation was a breeze. As a CPST, I look for clear instructions, secure belt paths, and proper recline angles this seat hit the mark. I used both the LATCH and seatbelt methods and had no trouble getting a tight, solid install in either of our vehicles. Comfort-wise, both of my boys seemed really happy in it. The padding is soft, and I like that the infant insert is removable and washable. The seat reclines easily in both directions and has enough positions to get a good fit in both of our cars. The harness adjusts with the headrest all at once, so I won't beconstantly rethreading straps every time they grew an inch. My only real critique is the lack of a leg/foot extender in rear-facing mode. My older son has longer legs, and they press against the rear base. It’s not unsafe, but it’s not super comfortable either. When rotating him into rear-facing, his feet sometimes scrape the base as well not a huge issue, but something to be aware of. Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a safe, comfortable, and extremely user-friendly rotating car seat, this one is an excellent choice especially if you drive an SUV or crossover. While I’d love to see improved rear-facing legroom for toddlers, the overall experience was very positive. I’d definitely recommend it to other parents looking to make their daily routines a bit easier.
