Tattoo Cover Up with Infallible in 5 Simple Steps
Step 1. Prime Your Tattoo
Before moving on to the concealing portion of hiding your tattoo, it’s important to prep the area for makeup application with a makeup primer. Primer creates a smooth base so the rest of your makeup can apply seamlessly, and it extends the wear time. Apply an even layer of the L’Oréal Paris Prime Lab Up to 24H Matte Setter to your tattoo and the surrounding area. If you’re using a color-correcting primer like L’Oréal Paris Prime Lab Up to 24H Dullness Reducer, use that in place of a mattifying primer.
Step 2. Use a Color Corrector
Next, take your orange color-correcting concealer and apply a generous layer to conceal your tattoo. Blend it out with a damp makeup sponge.
Step 3. Apply Foundation and Blend with a Makeup Sponge
Use your finger to dab the foundation onto the color-corrected area of skin, then, use a makeup sponge to create an even, seamless tattoo cover up makeup waterproof blend. Remember to blend outwards so the concealed area matches the rest of your skin.
Step 4. Follow Up With Concealer
Next, build up the coverage with tattoo concealer and blend with your makeup sponge. Be sure to use a shade that most closely matches your skin tone for a seamless look.
Step 5. Set With Powder and Setting Spray
We’re betting that you want your tattoos to stay covered until you’re ready to wash your makeup off, which means it’s a good idea to set everything with a face powder and setting spray. So since they changed to this new fragrance and packaging and formula, 1 it literally smells so bad, 2 it doesn’t hold my makeup as well anymore, 3 the packaging is really basic, like there was nothing wrong with the old one, everyone that didn’t like the hairspray smell should have just sucked it up cuz now the whole thing is bad. PLEASE FIX IT LOREAL I DONT WANT TO BUY FROM ANOTHER BRAND. I have been loyal for years why did you have to go change it now😭✋🏿

Smells and feels like I’m spraying my face with overpriced hairspray. Very strong chemical smell—I try not to inhale while I spray and circulate the air after. Holds things in place generally, but I wouldn’t buy it again bc I do think that it’s no different than hairspray.

Love!!!! I’ve been on the lookout for something to help keep my makeup on since my face gets oily right after applying makeup. This has been my holy grail, it survived epic universe on a hot day and multiple HHN nights without smudging my brows or even my eyeliner! Keeps my face oil free all night and it’s a great value. A good tip is to close your eyes, not breath in, and close your mouth tight while applying so you don’t taste or breath most of the spray. It’s strong but it works wonders for those with super oily skin like me, plus it doesn’t break me out which is a huge plus for my acne prone skin.

I see no difference between this product and spraying yourself directly in the face with aerosol hairspray. Smells AWFUL. Leaves stiff feeling and very drying to the skin. That said, it does hold makeup in place BUT, only if you’re in dry moderate temperature. The second this stuff gets even a little bit damp (hot day) it breaks down, makes your makeup look cracked, blotchy and flaky. SUPER disappointed. 0/10 don’t recommend.

HORRIBLE product! DOES NOT WORK as advertised! I used this spray a few days ago for my stepson's wedding. I cried my eyes out (of course) and afterwards found STREAKS going down my face where my makeup had run!!! This spray did NOT keep my makeup in place for even 3 hours at that point - we had another 4-5 to go for the evening's festivities! I felt like my face had zebra stripes!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! 😡😡

This “setting” spray has to be use on the final step after all makeup has been applied, you can’t overspray like I’m sure we’ve seen on social media, I follow a makeup artist and she showed to used a few sprays, don’t over saturate your face with it, think of it as Kryolan. I hope it helps

I did not like the setting spray. anytime i sprayed it on my face it made me makeup separate bad from the under eyes and just made my makeup look really bad . i honestly wouldn’t recommend but it could’ve possibly been whatever i used for my base dosnt mix well with the chemicals in the setting spray but just didn’t work for me. i also didn’t like the fact that when the setting spray mist would get in my neck it would peel and leave little crumbs on my neck

I was using urban decay all nighter setting spray for YEARS. I saw this, and wanted to try something different especially since I’m getting older and my skin isn’t as youthful as it was. Lol. It does smell like hairspray, but it does go away. You don’t get the mist, like I said more of a spray. But it does work. I live where it hits triple digits. Even though I am not outside all day, my makeup doesn’t melt off. I did test it out after reading the comments and yes some makeup comes off. I don’t think there is anything that can keep all your makeup from coming off. I feel like for the price you pay, it’s worth it. I also have VERY sensitive skin, and I have had no issues. No issues with acne, pores, and definitely didn’t have my makeup peel off ? Some of the comments saying that is wild to me. Are they over spraying it? Maybe it’s their actual makeup? I don’t know but that definitely was not happening here. Like I said for the price, it’s worth trying it out at least.

It’s literally hairspray if you ask me and after a few hours you can see it peeling off your skin very disappointed. Definitely still transfers onto napkins or clothing

I used this product to set my cream products and then once again to set my powder products. This kept my makeup in tact for over 7 hours in very humid weather. Be aware that it goes on thick, like hairspray for your face.

I absolutely LOVE this setting spray. It makes my makeup stay all day with absolutely no budging! The only con is that if I’m not careful with the application and put too much on, it’ll accentuate the hairs on my face. Another “con” (as it doesn’t bother me) is that it does smell and feel like you’re putting hairspray on top of your makeup opposed to setting spray. So… A texture thing for some people to avoid as well. I used this setting spray when I was doing a theatre show (as an actor) and my makeup went absolutely nowhere even after two hours of sweating under stage lights. I’ve bought it three times now and will keep buying it for as long as I can!

This is by far the best setting spray I’ve ever used. I wore it daily for a week in Orlando and it kept my makeup perfect through oily skin, sweat, and pool water! I’m shocked it doesn’t have better reviews.
