A: It’s a lot of the same words that are in the 100 first words books. Lots of “baby’s firsts” like ball, toy, foods, body parts, types of clothes, various animals, and opposites.

It is perfect to get young kids to learn new words in an educational way and avoiding the screen time which is not recommended at this age. Kids can hear the words and also see an image of what this word means. I totally recommend it. I received it for free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This learning tool is super easy and fun. My 20 month old is disabled, as well as developmental delays and he is not speaking yet. This toy immediately clicked with him. He figured out where the cards needed to go in and only needed a little help, he knew to push the button, and he instantly lit up with excitement when he heard Ms. Rachels voice. Within 10 minutes he was already trying to make the sounds to match the words! I truly believe this could help him say his first words soon. I love that its simple, not overstimulating, and it is compact enough to take anywhere. Id recommend this toy to parents, caregivers, daycares, speech therapists, and developmental services. Honestly its an amazing learning tool for any child building language skills!

Bought just last month and all of the cards still read correctly AND my 1.5 year old has yet to successfully rip or bend the cards! He's already starting to try and repeat words on the cards. A total win!

The downside is that although its designed for ages 12+, the cards were very hard to insert and felt flimsy, which caused a lot of frustration.

Ms. Rachel always manages to motivate her to try to pronounce new words or mimic along. Very easy to travel with and with the cards being double sided its double the words!

I'm sure they are fine and do what theya re meant to do, but since they require an adult's assistance let me just say that as an adult, I really don't like the Twitter bird and the other art generic art. It's too simplistic and boring. I buy a lot of children's books and admire good illustrations. I don't think toddlers care, but I like to teach children and expose them to wonderful things like good music and good art with a little more style.

I don't think they would be as excited by the toy if they did not already know who Mrs Rachel was, BUT I'd say it was a success, it got my 20 month old repeating the words that the toy would say! I'm sure the toy is meant to be played with the parent and toddler/baby together, but even at that, the word cards got bent immediately by grabby little hands. I wish they were a more durable, hard plastic. Overall, I would recommend this toy if you had a baby or toddler who needs to work on learning some new words, and was already a fan of Mrs Rachel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a trilingual family and English is not our household language. I was excited to receive this talking flashcards toy try out. I have heard of these before. And all I can say is I wish I had this when I was little! It is perfect for learning first words and even would be helpful to immigrant parents who dont have much English knowledge to teach their childrent and send them to school barely knowing any english (i speak from experience!) My 2.5 year old sat for 30 minutes playing the cards and learning new words while her older siblings finished up their homeschool lessons! I do recommend this product especially for immigrant & bilingual families, my only concern is the durability of the cards and wish that there was a ring or something provided to hold them together. I can see them getting lost

They had the best time taking turns picking cards, sliding them into the reader, and giggling every time Ms. Rachels voice popped up to say the word. What surprised me most was how quickly they started teaching each other, pointing at the pictures, guessing the word, and then cheering when they got it right. This ones definitely staying in our play rotation. If your little ones love Ms. Rachel like these two, theyll be hooked on this too!

My son adores Ms. Rachel (IYKYK 😉), so when I saw her merch at Target, I couldn’t wait to grab these flashcards. Unfortunately, they didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I’m not sure exactly what I was hoping for, but I definitely expected something a little more engaging. My little one played with them for maybe 2 minutes before losing interest. The cards themselves are cute, but I think they could use a bit more variety, interaction, or even durability to really hold a toddler’s attention...especially given how captivating Ms. Rachel usually is. That being said, I love that Target is carrying her products, and I’m hopeful future items will better capture the magic that makes Ms. Rachel so special for our little ones.

I was really excited to use this toy, but unfortunately when we opened the package and tried it out, some of the cards did not read properly and others did not match what the toy was saying. Because of this, I will need to return the item.

I gave this to my (now) 3 year old for her birthday. She loves it but she has bent the card so much thats its hard to put the cards in the reader. I wish there was a way I could reprint them and laminate them. Or even buy just the cards.
