Q: Is this safe to use if you have rosacea?

A: Not a doctor but a rosacea sufferer, also. What bothers one person’s skin could be tolerated extremely well by the next. That being said, I think it’s a very well formulated vitamin C and Dr. Sam Ellis (the creator of Prequel) has rosacea, too.

A: Thanks for reaching out! Our bottles are pressurized to minimize oxidation caused by air and also to improve the pump's ability to get every last drop. The first pump or two might have a little extra oomph, but should go back to normal pretty quickly. We hope this helps!

This vitamin C serum has really brightened up my skin! I use it daily right after cleansing. My only complaint is how careful I have to be with the pump or way too much comes out! I’ve wasted quite a bit especially with a new bottle. So be very careful not to press down too much. It’s a thin liquid too so forget tying to save it!

I’ve only been using this product for a week, but I do feel like my skin is a bit brighter. It’s a very watery consistency, so I squirt two drops into my palm and then dab it on and blend. Just don’t get it too near the eyes. I have been so impressed with this brand, as I run out of other products I am currently using I will be replacing them with more Prequel products.

Holy skinceuticals dupe. The texture and the smell are identical. For those who dislike the scent, it smells exactly like the expensive one. Hoping it gives the same results as well.

This is now my second bottle of the Lucent-c. I think it’s a great product and very fairly priced compared to something like Skinceuticals. I do notice some discoloring (turns more yellow/orange not long after opening). Wondering if this means oxidation and I shouldn’t use it? It’s only been a couple months so it’s not anywhere near expiring but I’m not sure if the product has oxidized.

I have to agree with the other reviews about the smell, it's pretty strong, but it fades quickly. I also figured out how to adjust the pump so I don't get a ton of product. I have been using it a few weeks, I haven't noticed a huge difference, but it's probably not been long enough. It's a nice consistency and absorbs quickly so it's easy to layer under other products. I'm hoping to notice a change soon.

This seems to work pretty well although it's early days, but I find there are some issues. The pump has little control, so you can't control the amount that comes our, and it shoots out forcely, making a bit of a mess. It's also a lot more oily than I hoped, which then makes it stickly. Not very pleasant to sleep in because of this. I also find I can't combine it with many other items as it gets even stickier. So I end up using it alone during days when I don't need to weat anything else or any makeup. Makes using it often not possible.

The first time I used this product I noticed a significant difference in my skins overall appearance. My skin felt brighter and had a much healthier look. I'm putting this as a maybe because the smell is not great and the product oxidized right away. I did repurchase and use for a little bit but I was not as happy the second time around. I think I'm going to take a break from it and buy another time.

10/10/10 this follows immediately after use of the Gleanser and right before my moisturizer. Followed up with my SPF. Absolutely adds luminosity to my skin and can tell the difference in overall brightness and tone of my complexion with daily use. I'm out of this currently and need to restock asap. I purchased for the environmental protection as I live in densely populated city but immediate results within a week!

I used skinceuticals c+aha for 5+ years and decided to take a chance since mine always oxidized far too quick for $150. This is totally worth the money! The quality is there and my very sensitive and reactive skin has been great with it. I did have to add their multi acid peel to get the aha benefits that my skinceuticals had as an all in one, but it’s still a fraction of the cost! Would 100% recommend!!

It is not serum texture it is more liquid like toner, it burst all over my self when I first used it and it has an orange color that if you do not remove it quickly it stays on. My face immediately burned when I put it on. I tried it again and same feeling. It is not what they advertise.

Unfortunately, I will be returning this. I cannot get over the smell. After I used it I kept smelling a metal smell. I washed my hands several times and that did not help. I ended up having to wash it of my face and wash my hands multiple times to get the smell off. I wanted to like this but smell matters and I cannot do it.
