Step 1 Mix : Pour ammonia-free colorant in cream developer bottle. Shake until mixture is completely blended.
Step 2 Apply : Part hair into 4 equal sections. Apply mixture to root area at each parting. Don't rub into scalp.
Step 3 Leave in : Leave the mixture on hair for 25 minutes total. For resistant gray hair, leave on for extra 10 minutes. For blonde shades, add an extra 20 minutes to total processing time.
Step 4 Rinse : Add a little warm water to hair and gently massage color mixture through hair. Rinse hair completely.
Step 5 Conditioning: Apply the ultra-hydrating cream conditioner after color application. Leave on for 3 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

The Revlon Cherry Red disappointed me. I had virgin black hair before dyeing but my ends are brownish/lightened from previous dye that hadn’t been cut off. I bought 2 boxes that were definitely enough for my hair length and volume. I used 1 box for the first dye job. The color just did not show up. It showed only on the ends(lighter) and kind of on my roots(I processed last). So my second run, I decided to do my roots first and run to the ends bc it was barely color on my roots. And it’s just too subtle. Maybe I should’ve lightened my hair but if it’s advertised to color dark hair to the shade then I expected that. In my opinion, this dye is only good for grays or root application. It just didn’t do its job. It did leave my hair still silky and shiny. Smells great.

It is very safe to use, it does not irritate the scalp, and the color lasts long enough, the tones are very accurate, it does not damage my hair and leaves a spectacular shine.

My assessment failed to appropriately account for two key variables: the intensity of my natural hair color and the volume/thickness of my hair. Usage Note for Dense Hair: Consumers with hair of significant density or thickness should be advised to purchase two boxes of the product. Using a single box risks insufficient saturation, which can hinder proper color development across the entire head. The product itself was effective and performed its function without causing any adverse effects, as no hair damage was observed following application.

First off the price of this product is sooo cheap thats honestly what made me want to try it cause I was on a very low budget to do my daughters hair so I bought 2 boxes cause she has long hair. I was actually really surprised how well it turned out for the price. I got a very dark brown almost black and her hair looked sooo good so shiny almost like glass only thing I will say is it fades pretty fast and does not last as long as the more expensive brands and when it fades it fades in blotches so u have to retouch up ur hair way more then every 6 weeks with this product so maybe in the long run the cheap price doesn’t really matter cause you gotta buy more I would say every 3-4 weeks for a touch up but other then that it works great it looks great and I would buy it again if on a budget.

The color came out rich, natural, and shiny, and it blended well with my roots and grays. It is definitely more of a soft, natural dark brown rather than an inky or harsh shade, which I like. The application was easy, and the formula didn’t have an overwhelming smell like some other box dyes. My hair felt soft afterward, not overly dry. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the color does fade a little quicker than I’d like, especially with frequent washing. For the price though, it’s an excellent option and I would buy it again.

It was easy to apply and didn’t have a super strong smell like some dyes. My hair felt soft after, and the color has held up nicely so far. Great budget-friendly option if you want a classic brown shade at home.

I was able to color my hair by myself without extra help. It didn’t have that overbearing ammonia scent slog of box hair colors have. Shade range was on point, it looks very natural on me, my original color was blonde and now I have a natural looking soft brown color. This was a great experience for box hair color. My hair feels so soft and healthy too. I definitely recommend using this brand for your next hair.

Revlon is my favorite Hair color. It is easy to mix, the application is so easy to put on hair, has natural highlights. There is no bad scent either. It is one of the lowest prices. It takes care of my grays and last long too. This is what I buy every 3 Months.
