Absolute garbage. Clogs literally every 5 minutes, cannot handle even a little bit of animal hair or dust. Do not buy this thing. You’re better off with a broom.

Battery is dead after a year. It just wouldn’t charge and the removable battery just blinks over and over. I tried to disconnect everything and make sure everything was clean and none of that worked. You can’t buy just the battery on their website. It’s not the best vacuum for carpet but I have all hard floors other than door rugs.

This is a great vacuum. I purchased add a gift for someone and they loved it. It has a suction feature once it’s home back into its port. Great buy

This electric broom is absolutely the best! I bought a different brand three months ago and regret not choosing this Shark broom sooner. I urge everyone to invest in this—it’s worth every penny!

Had this vacuum a month, I leant it again the kitchen bench and it slowly slid down and hit the ground and the whole handle snapped off. My Dyson would fall all the time and never had any damage, this vacuum is too fragile not durable

This item broke within one month of opening the box. The cords are falling out from the attached handle vacuum part and since the return window is closed they won’t do anything about it

My first purchase was a Shark corded stick vac....loved it! Wanted something for quick cleanups so bought a a cordless stick that I love. I wanted something a bit more substantial and one that I didn't have to empty when I did a quick vacuum before I left for work. This vac is perfect! I don't have to change from hard floor to carpet, it has a handheld feature, and it empties itself! I am keeping the other cordless vac, but it's used for our covered, screened patio porch only. I also have a Shark steam cleaner for my tile floors. I love all my Shark products!!

This vacuum is honestly just okay and nothing impressive. I bought it for quick daily cleanups with pets, and while the auto-empty feature is convenient, it’s really the only thing that stands out, and even that would be better if it had the option for a scented filter like some of the other models. The suction is average, the handle feels flimsy, and the build quality overall comes across as cheap. It does include a pet tool, but it feels so basic and poorly made that it doesn’t add much value. What’s frustrating is that Shark doesn’t standardize attachments across their models, leaving some versions with limited or downgraded options. No motorized hand tool, no scented filter, and very little flexibility with add-ons. For the cost, I expected much more. At the end of the day, it does the job, but there’s no wow factor, nothing impressive, and definitely not the level of quality I would expect from Shark

I am so confused by the positive comments. This vacuum has a little bin area that collects sand / dust and you CANNOT clean it. Look into it because it’s a constant complain. Another complaint I missed was the magnet on the back after it self empties does not close so every-time you vacuum you have to close it. It has opened while I was vacuuming and everything came out from the back. Target accepted the return and refunded me because it was less than 30 days. Target gets my 5 stars on customer service but Shark clean & empty vacuum 0 stars.

This is much better than my dyson. It's much lighter and easier to maneuver.

This company is extremely kind and helpful. I clean houses for a living and my vaccum broke, all I had to do was phone the company, video chat for a few minutes to show the problem, & they sent me a brand new vacuum. I’m extremely grateful to Shark Thank you. Amazing vacuum cleaner too!

Where do I even begin. 1 the dust cup is tiny. This vacuum might be okay for a dorm room except the only way to charge it is the gigantic base it has to go on (also it has to be fully assembled, you cannot just charge the handheld part even if that’s what you usually use) 2. The trap door to the what I guess is the overflow area constantly getting something caught in the magnetic latch so the entire thing doesn’t close, and guess what happens? Almost suction and all the dirt that comes in goes right out the trap door. 3. It is so top heavy that it puts pressure on the joints & as with many stick vacuums it causes them to become weak and lose suction over time. 3. The stick itself is extremely narrow. Very easily clogged and good luck vacuuming anything bigger than dust. 4. The dust cup filter gets clogged so easily with literally anything. This means several times during cleaning you will have to go open up (must be emptied because of the design) and pull all the stuff off the filter. But don’t worry, you’ll be emptying it multiple times anyway because it only holds about a cup of debris. 5. The auto empty feature is incredibly loud and just creates another filter to clean and a huge amount of debris to dump (if you’re even lucky enough for it to be full without having to manually dump the cup 5x a day. 6. The battery doesn’t last long at all on regular mode, forget the boost mode. 7. The sensor doesn’t work correctly so it is always using the carpet spin brush on my hardwood floors (which is so loud btw) 8. Doesn’t work on long/high pile rugs/carpet. Doesn’t pick anything up even if you’re strong enough to push and pull it around because the motorized part is too weak. (Compare this to my corded version which propels itself). Stick to the corded Sharks, they really are great vacuums, I’ve never owned a dud. This is the third cordless shark that has disappointed me. For the price you should be getting the quality behind the Shark name. They put out so many different models constantly it gets confusing & it just goes to show that they didn’t do enough consumer testing & redesign. We are the guinea pigs. That’s why they have so many models now. None are good enough to stay alive. Be warned even the best cordless ones from Shark will only last a couple years. They should be lasting 7 years even with daily use as long as they are maintained (clean filters, remove clogs, don’t get wet) Such a shame because I have been a fan and all my family and friends bought them on my suggestion.

I am so happy with this vacuum- it is very maneuverable & very powerful. It is light and easy to use, so I ask my 9yo to help with cleaning and he has fun using this vacuum. fyi - we have two cats and hardwood floors.

Haven’t had my Shark Vacuum very long, but so far, I love it! It’s very light and easy to use. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was picking up dirt like my last vacuum, but every time I finished vacuuming, I could see the dirt in the handle. So I was happy to see that. And what made it extra good, was the auto-empty system. That, by far, is the best part of this vacuum for me!

More of a big dust buster. This is not a vacuum meant for serious house cleaning. Run time is fine, having dirt sucked down into bin is cool, but overall this vacuum is not going to cut it as your only vacuum. Our house is over 2,000 sq ft and I'd have to dump the cup 4-5 on relatively clean floors. Fine dirt or flour gums up all the filters. Same goes for any drop of moisture. Also the magnet closure of the dirt cup will find any piece of metal and cause the flap to not close. Overall you'd be better off with any bag or canister vacuum. Unless you want a large dust buster that takes up a bunch of room in your house.

I bought this vacuum on sale on November. I was supper excited and it did a great job in the beginning like for a couple of months. The auto empty dock/ charging station was a good idea. Until a month a go or more. It just die. Never turned on again. Which is a problem because now I couldn't charge the vacuum. But I got over it and just bought a separate cable charger for the battery and I've been using that. But now the rolling brush stop working. It keeps saying is clogged even thow I cleaned it very well. There's nothing anybody can do for my problem since I didn't get the extended warranty but I just don't want anyone going through the same. Because I got it on sale. But is much more expensive now.

Had it 12 months Will be looking to replace it as the suction isn’t the greatest for larger spills. Also no replacements for filters.

I received a IW4000 series vacuum as a gift in February. I have used it almost everyday since then and I love it, it works great. However, the other day I went to my cleaning closet where it has sat since I got it and the handle where the battery connects completely broke off. It was a clean break like it came off due to weight of the battery. It was not dropped or set down improperly, I always keep it on the charger when I am not using it. I tried to tape it and it just doesn't work right anymore because I can't hold it where the handle is. Curious to know if anyone else has had a similar problem.
