first off, the smell is awful, like other reviewers said. Secondly, I used one like normal and it left soapy residue stains on some of my clothes. thankfully I caught it relatively fast so I was able to hand wash and get some of it off but it did permanently stain one yellow hoodie. its just insane to me because it was a small load of laundry on warm heat and ive never had a problem with it before, but i know it was from this because the stains are the same color as the pods. not sure if it was a bad batch but I ended up tossing it.

For the best results when using the pods, we always recommend making sure that the wash isn't overloaded or contains too many absorbent items, which can prevent the pods from fully dissolving and cause staining. If the items have not been dried in a tumble dryer, we recommend trying to remove the stains by rinsing the stained fabric under warm water and allow them to soak overnight. The following day, re-wash the affected clothing in your washing machine with no laundry detergent. Next, wash at the highest temperature permitted by the care label. We appreciate your comments regarding not being a fan of the spring meadow scent, and we'll be sure to share your comments with our team. I went on this website to see if other he try e same experience with the smell . I usually buy original liquid tide or powder and have never come across this and have always been satisfied. I see I am not the only one and would not re-purchase this particular product

We're sorry to hear this and can explain what you might be experiencing. Laundry detergent cannot cause bad smells. If a fresh load of laundry comes out smelling badly, it is coming from the washing machine. With an HE machine, keep the door open between uses to allow the washer to air out. For front loading washers require special low sudsing detergents, like Tide HE, using regular detergent will cause excessive suds, which carry the bacteria all over the washer and allow it to deposit and settle all around the wash drum. Above average water hardnesss may also contribute to mold or mildew odors. When a washing machine starts to smell, use Tide Washing Machine Cleaner to remove residue and eliminate any bacteria; monthly clean-outs with Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, helps keep odor-causing residues from causing odor problems down the road. Be sure to consult the owner's manual or the manufacturer's website for clean-out instructions. Omg the worst fishy smell from pods!! It is not the washer, water or the clothes... it is the detergent TIDE pods 3 in 1, sprong meadow!! 49 pods!! I WILL NEVER purchase again. Back to ALL snd ARM N HAMMER.

I wish I could take this back to where I purchased it. I loathe this new "Spring Meadow" smell. This does not smell anything like it should. I have used Tide for years. But this....... HORRIBLE. Not fresh at all and almost makes me nauseous. It is too expensive to just buy something else. UGGGGG.

In 2023, the scent of Tide Spring Meadow was changed to improve scent bloom. Scent bloom is the reintroduction of scent caused by friction against the fabric.
